This course is designed for first time Citect users including engineering staff, maintenance staff and plant supervisors.

Course Description:

The course provides an introduction to Citect project design, and familiarity with configuration techniques. It is a hands-on course, which includes practice with plant control, data collection, trending and reporting.

Introduction to Citect, Alarms, Citect Explorer, Creating a Menu Page, Using the on-line Help, Multi-Language Projects, Managing Projects, Devices, Events, Trends, The Design Specification, Accumulators, Setting up Communications, Reports, Graphics, Security, Commands & Controls, Networking, Genies, Super Genies, Introduction to Cicode, Trouble-shooting Citect.

Prerequisites:

It is essential that students are familiar with Windows operating systems. Experience in PLC control system design and/or programming is desirable.
